In order for us to know what you need to have done, it is vital that we make sure that we are on the same page with respect to what can be accomplished in a given unit of time. Calculating a project by the hour is generally the best way for us to determine time and cost. Prior to accepting a job, we--you and SDE--will have an initial discussion of the project either via email, phone, Skype or some similar means. The complexity of the project will determine the nature of the discussion. After the initial "meeting," your project will be turned over to a project manager, after which you will receive a proposal stating the following, - Project name
- Detailed design document
- Estimated time to completion
- Cost to you
Basically, this is how we work: For every project we take on, we first develop a design document. The design document details the precise steps necessary to accomplish your objectives. This, in turn, allows us to assess the available resources and estimate how many man-hours it will take to complete the project as described by the document. We then figure your cost by multiplying the time by the hourly rate. For monthly services you will receive the time sheets so that you can gauge for yourself how long a specific task takes.
